A collaborative take on nutrition

For any change in lifestyle to be successful we need to fully believe in what the outcome is going to be. We believe that it is a collaborative approach between us rather than a show and tell experience. We will guide you through the process and be there to support you when you need that little bit of extra help. We will not ask you to commit to something you are not comfortable with, we will create your journey in partnership.

All programmes run for 12 weeks. This is help you implement the changes, stay on track and create positive habits, assist with any challenges and most importantly adapt the plan if necessary.

The Process

We will guide you through each step of the process and be there to support you when you need that little bit of extra help. We will not ask you to commit to something you are not comfortable with, we will create your journey in partnership.

  • You will receive a detailed health questionnaire for completion in tandem with a food diary to complete prior to your first consultation. This allows us to focus on your goals and provide us with a true reflection of your current position as part of the overall review.

  • During this initial consultation, that lasts approximately 90 minutes, we will discuss in detail your answers to the questionnaire and focus on specific aspects such as:

    - Your medical history

    - Family medical history

    - Your food choices

    - Your lifestyle including work, social and family

    - Your physical activities and routines

    - Your sleep patterns

    - Medication or supplements currently being taken

  • This is the exciting part of the programme. Following step 2, we will be able to evaluate your needs and use our knowledge of nutritional science to develop a personalised plan for you that will provide you with all you need to succeed.

    Don’t let the science put you off. We appreciate that this can make it sound daunting, but we will talk you through your plan in a clear and concise manner.

    We will discuss and agree together on what the right choices are for you, how you implement them and how we are going to work together to achieve your goals. These will be your goals; we will ensure that they are realistic and not too overwhelming for you.

  • We may introduce supplements into your plan if necessary to help with the initial kick start of your programme (usually short term only).

  • If required, we may recommend functional testing. These private tests will show us a wide range of markers (please note these tests are not the same as GP tests).

    These may include:

    - Blood

    - Urine

    - Stool

    - Saliva

    These tests will provide a real snapshot of your true health and provide guidance on helping you feel better faster. We may suggest referring you to another specialist either before a plan is agreed or alongside your plan.

    These could include:

    - Physiotherapist

    - Chiropractor

    - Acupuncturist

    - Herbalist

    Additionally, we will always work alongside your GP or other medical professionals to ensure you have the best care possible.

Your Commitment.

Give it Time

Any change takes time. Small changes can show positive results very quickly but if you have a chronic condition or you have had weight challenges for a long time then patience will be needed. It takes time for your body to fully react and recover from the changes that we will implement. Your body must get used to the changes and react to the positivity we are providing it. It may take weeks or months for the full results to be seen.

Accountability

We can help and guide you, but it will be you making the changes so you will need to be ready for these changes. We believe that by having regular appointments and follow ups booked in over a 12-week period provide the accountability you may need.

Committing yourself to this programme and ensuring that you commit to them will help you succeed in achieving your goals.

Establishing a Partnership

By agreeing your plan together will help to create a partnership to achieve your goals. Partnerships work when there is openness and transparency. If things are not working, then you need to tell us so we discuss, review and adapt your plan.
